ZyXEL released the new L2TP (Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol)-enabled functionality for its Prestige 128 Plus bridge/router. The model delivered authenticated end-to-end network connections among remote access users and their corporate network with a Virtual Private Network (VPN) technology infrastructure. ZyXEL was among the first companies to deliver the new L2TP functionalities at CeBIT '98, Europe's largest technology trade show.
